Should such a defect occur, your watch will be repaired free of charge (a $10 service fee for shipping and handling is still required) within a reasonable period of time from the date of its receipt at our factory service center. This warranty does not cover the replacement of cases, batteries, watchbands, straps, dials, crowns, or crystal, since such items are subject to the "wear and tear" of daily use. This warranty does not apply to the crystal, strap, bracelet or batteries. Liability is limited solely to the repair of the watch. The manufacturer disclaims liability for the consequential damages for breach of any expressed or implied warranty including merchantiblity or fitness for purpose. If this watch develops such a defect within the warranty period, it will be repaired or replaced at our option provided it is returned with a $12.95 check or money order to cover the cost of warranty handling and return shipping. No additional charge will be made unless the warranty period has expired, or servicing is necessary for reasons beyond our control, such as accident, misuse, neglect or replacement of parts not warranteed, such as noted above, is required. In such instances an estimate of all charges for your approval will be sent. This warranty is void if the watch has been tampered with, damaged by water, ill treated, operated in a manner inconsistent with its intended use, or if the defect is related to servicing not performed by us. It's called the Pulsar 3-Year Promise and it covers your watch--inside and out. That's an important distinction, because most warranties only protect the inner workings of the watch, known as the movement. Ours covers the movement, the case, the crystal, the bracelet or strap, even the battery. In short, virtually everything. For three full years. Gift boxes should NOT be used to return watches. If your timepiece is out of warranty and the repair charges exceed $20.00, you will receive a written estimate outlining all repair costs. You can respond to the estimate by returning the postcard or calling the appropriate service center. If you give instructions in your letter that no estimate is required, regardless of cost, no estimate will be given and the repair will be forwarded to the repair shop for service. Payment can be made by sending a check to the repair facility (made payable to Coserv) or COD (cash or check on delivery). SEIKO The U.S. warranty period for Seiko watches sold by Seiko Corporation of America is three (3) years from the date of purchase. The U.S. warranty period for Seiko clocks sold by Seiko Corporation of America is one (1) year from the date of purchase. All warranties are limited and do contain certain exclusions. Please examine your warranty closely. The service and repair division of Seiko Corporation of America (SCA) is called Coserv. If you need your timepiece serviced, there are several things you should remember prior to taking or sending it to a Coserv location: a.) Fully describe the problem or symptoms you are having with the watch or clock. b.) Include your warranty or proof of purchase if the timepiece is still within the warranty period. c.) If mailing, make certain your name and address are shown both on the outside of the package as a return address, and on the correspondence inside describing the problem. Also, keep a record of the case number (hyphenated) and the serial number from the back of your watch for reference. d.) Always insure the package to protect yourself in case of a loss in transit and to make tracing possible if necessary. e.) Package the timepiece well to protect it in transit. The warranty information card comes in the box with your watch. At Stührling Original, we strive to manufacture timepieces of superior quality. This is reflected in the accuracy of our watches, the attention to detail in the assembly of the individual cases and movements, and in the life expectancy. Every care is taken to ensure that your watch meets the highest standards before it leaves our factory. Despite our efforts to achieve this level of excellence, should you find that your watch is not functioning properly during the warranty period or after, simply send it to our Service Center for correction of the problem. Experience shows that we are able to complete most repairs within six weeks. However, some watches need a little special attention and in those cases, it is not uncommon to require ten to twelve weeks. Should your watch be among those few, please understand that we are only concerned with the performance of your watch once you receive it back. We ask for both your understanding and patience in this case. Shipping: The product owner will be responsible for shipping the watch to and from us. A flat rate of $20.00 will be charged, which should be submitted by means of a check or money order. Please note: we do not ship to P.O. Box addresses. Also note the following: 1. Include a Copy of your purchase invoice or receipt with the date on it. 2. Include a check or money order payable to Stührling Original in the amount of $20.00 (for S&H). 3. Include a note describing the problem. 4. Include a return address and daytime telephone number. 5. It is a good practice to insure the watch with the shipper. 6. If your watch is not covered under our warranty, you will be charged for the repair cost. 7. Please do not include your original Stührling Original watch box (or any other special boxes) when sending in your watch for service. Your boxes will not be returned. 8. The manufacturer Stührling Original LLC, 449 20th Street, Brooklyn, NY, 11215, USA, declares that all Stührling Original watches are covered by an international warranty against any manufacturing defect that will be honored by all authorized Stührling service centers. The Stührling warranty is valid for a period of two years (or one year) from the date of purchase of the watch from an authorized reseller. The length of the term is determined by where the watch was purchased from and the warranty card that comes enclosed with the watch will state the length of term. Stührling will within 24 months (or 12 months) from the date of purchase, repair or replace (at Stührling's option), the movement of the timepiece free of charge if such movement proves to be defective in material workmanship under normal use. For quartz watches, the battery is covered by the warranty for a period of one year from the date of purchase. 2. This warranty does not cover the watch case, watch bracelet, straps, crystals or normal wear. This warranty will be void if the watch has been mishandled or used under extraordinary conditions. Unless this watch is labeled as "water resistant" this warranty will also be void if the watch has been submerged in water. 3. This international warranty shall only be valid if the watch has been purchased from a reseller authorized by Stührling. 4. The warranty card must be presented together with the watch to an authorized Stührling service center or authorized Stührling reseller for all in-warranty servicing. Any work performed on a Stührling watch by an unauthorized person or entity, shall automatically render the international warranty null and void. 5. All Stührling watches are accompanied with directions for use including recommendations of care and maintenance that should be followed. Any damage resulting from improper use or mistreatment of the watch is not covered under the international warranty. 6. The terms of this international warranty do not in any way restrict or otherwise affect any possible statutory rights to which the consumer may be entitled by law in the country of purchase. 7. If your watch should require service during the period of warranty, please send it along with a copy of your original bill of purchase and a check in the amount of $20 to cover the cost of shipping and handling.
