A detailed review of the grading process covering: Sample bags, the preparation process for residue, clusters and infestation. A detailed insight of the cut analysis to determine defects, slate and smoke as well as the bean count and other elements of quality assessment will be given.
The course will also cover the requirements related to cocoa grading as detailed in both the London Cocoa contract and the requirements for grading covered in the ICE Futures Europe Grading and Warehouse Procedures (G&WPs).
There is a course exam provided at the end of Part 1. This needs to be successfully completed to allow progress to Part 2.
