Enter an Order for a Single Cusip
From the search results, click on the yield, price or buy/sell buttons to bring up an order ticket. On the Order Ticket tab, you can adjust par amount, sales credit, etc.
On the order ticket you will see, when applicable, Material Events, Bond Characteristics, Price Information, and tabs with Security Master, Trade History, Calculator and when available third-party bond information services.
By hovering over the sales credit field, the permitted range of sales credit is displayed.
When all parameters have been updated, click ‘Recalculate’ to see the effects of your changes. Click the ‘Next: Order Detail’ button to verify client account details, required attestations and other books & records information. When completed you can click ‘Submit’ to send the item to your trading desk for review.
Ticket Warnings
Sales Credit
If you exceed the parameters set by your firm for sales credit, you will receive a warning.
Market Price Evaluation
If the quoted price exceeds a percentage variance from your pricing data vendor, you will receive a warning.
Denominations/Size
A warning if you are attempting to transact in a quantity that is not in line with the denomination and increment amounts on the security master file, or below the minimum set by the offering trader.
After order parameters are set, and client information is entered, you will ‘Submit’ the order.
Order Validation
The order will pass through a series of rule checks that may require acknowledgement or attestation before you are allowed to submit the item. Certain rules may prevent any further action.
Once your order is submitted, you can follow it’s progress on your Order Blotter.
