The ICE difference
Client type | Challenge | ICE Solution |
|---|---|---|
Wealth management consultant | Our client needed indicative pricing and reference data for their financial instrument list through their relationship management portal to generate investment proposals. | We supported data streaming integration across their relationship management portal to generate investment proposals with latest market data and pricing. |
Leading private bank | Our client needed support to meet compliance requirements to showcase best-ex across their trading system for wealth management clients. | We supported implementation of ICE eValueX service for OTC derivatives trades and ICE Continuous Evaluated Pricing for fixed income trade assessments. |
Asset manager | Our client was planning to launch fixed income as an investment option for their wealth management clients. | We implemented fixed income pricing solutions that helped them both in their trading processing and settlement, as well as redistribution to their clients via online portal and mobile application. |
Regional Bank | Our client required quality, timely, and extensive reference data security coverage for their multi-asset class security setup, trade validation and client reporting workflow at a fixed cost. | We formulated a multi-year fixed cost agreement for our multi-asset class universe reference data to be delivered into the clients Security Master to support their front to back workflow. |
Custodial clearing firm | Our client wanted to augment their clearing and custody platform to allow users to see client portfolio data alongside real-time analytics and market data, thereby providing a more holistic view of client accounts. | We integrated our white labeled desktop terminal into our client's customer platform that is used by hundreds of RIAs, banks and brokerage firms. |
Full-service brokerage | Our client needed to provide active trading software for their self-directed brokerage customers. | We customized our ICE Connect desktop platform with integrated brokerage tools to help our client meet the needs of these customers. |
Serving the next generation of wealth management clients
The wealth management industry is facing a seismic shift: the greatest wealth transfer in history, the rise of digital trading, and growing appetite for sustainable investing. Perhaps the most consequential demographic change is the transfer of up to $84 trillion in assets from Baby Boomers. Younger generations who inherit this wealth often have starkly different investment priorities — including a greater appetite for customization, a desire to invest sustainably, and a preference for digital interaction. They are more open to alternative asset classes such as private equity and cryptocurrency — for example, 75% of millennial and Gen Z investors surveyed by Bank of America believe it is not possible to achieve "above-average returns" using only traditional stocks and bonds.
