On-the-Day Commodity Market (OCM) briefing

The On-the-Day Commodity Market (OCM) is operated by ICE Endex and used by National Grid Gas Transmission in its role as residual balancer. This market forms an integral part of the UK gas balancing regime. Trades concluded on the OCM are used to formulate the System Average Price (SAP) and System Marginal Prices (SMP), which network users pay or receive for under-delivery and over-delivery of natural gas to the UK transmission system.

Join ICE and the National Grid Gas Transmission for a briefing on the OCM in which we’ll discuss:

  • Overview and key principles of Demand Side Response (DSR)
  • Update on reforms introduced to DSR by the Urgent UNC Modification 0822
  • Demonstration for traders of the OCM with specific focus on the DSR market

There will be an opportunity to submit questions before and during the event.

Speakers

  • Matt Newman, Code Change Lead from National Grid Gas Transmission
  • Egbert-Jan Schutte-Hiemstra, Senior Director, Business Development Utility Markets from ICE
